Our mission is to reduce surgical site infection rates by providing quality education and training to improve hospital decontamination and sterilization practices in our Bangladesh.

Our vision is to see sterile processing practices raised to international standards.

CIFAE consults with hospitals and clinics with limited resources to assist in improving sterilization techniques and to provide education in related areas of infection control and quality assurance.
Our goal is to document a significant decrease in infections related to unsterile or improperly sterile instruments in patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Our believe is that by providing education and training resources to health care providers, we will empower them to develop and maintain safe sterilization  practices within our Medical/ Health Care facility. CIFAE is dedicated to the promotion of the highest quality of reprocessing possible within limited resource setting to ensure patient safety and well-being.

What is sterilization?

Sterilization refers to any process that eliminates , removes, kills or deactivates all forms of life and other biological agents (such as fungi, bacteria, viruses, spore forms, prions, unicellular eukaryotic organisms such as Plasmodium etc.)present in a specified region, such as a surface by treating it with chemicals or subjecting it to high heat or radiation.
